I too apologize... I may not have taken into consideration the age of folks whom might be paying the bill for this site.

To assume the Off-Topic area is for Discussion on topics unrelated to Mercedes-Benz seems to fit well with the topic at hand.

Really to be honest, if your running a business selling parts its a bad idea to host a web forum. Just my personal opinion. What happens when a customer gets bent out of shape and takes it out on you here? Or worse yet on the web? I have found that selling stuff on a web forum can be a real pain in the rear.

You know why people dont like me, and its not because I dont know my stuff. I am out to have a good time and make money doing it. There is no need to be up-tight. Most folks understand what an off-topic area is, and they wont be coming in here looking for Mercedes parts.

I fail to see what you have to gain by allowing some to carry on like idiots and giving others a hard time. I mean just how much business could Drew ever possibly give you? Then again his cars are pretty beat.

I actually debated whether or not to even have an OT here, the meat of the forum is in Upholstery, CIS, General, and Parts. This is just fluff, but that doesn't mean I want a bunch of personal drama in here. Believe me, I have no qualms at all about closing OT altogether. And in fact, you are not the only person asked to refrain from posting about BW here, a request which others have understood and complied with. Now let's just leave it alone and move along please...

Off topic is where you build your loyal forum mongers. A forum without OT is just boaring.

I am sorry if people are not beating down the doors in the parts, repair and other forums yet, however I dont think closing down the one forum that could be fun, yet draw people in would be in your best interest. Besides where are you going to move all the fights that break out in other forums? You dont think its going to happen? You dont think people are going to post off topic in your more serious forums from time to time? Then what?

I agree that things must be kept serious within the technical forums, no doubt... But all work and no play makes for a lousy day.
