our 240d germany model, has this problem with the a/c system, the compressor is retiring and is making this noise as if its stuck or something.. is it better to replace it with a compressor for a 134a refrigerant or just the r12...

It's hot where you are, try to stick to R12. Your AC won't work as well with R134.

but i have repalced my expansion valve and drier for a 134a system...
may i ask ywhy the system wont work well with 134a?

Expansion valve and drier are the same for either refrigerant, makes no difference. Equip you car with R134, and it will not get as cold. Don't believe me? Go ahead and see for yourself.

do i need to replace the compressor with a 134a type or just the same compressor for r12 and just put on a 134.

No, it's the same compressor, you would just have to drain and replace the compressor oil, which is specific for each type of refrigerant.

helpp... my 240d temp goes up to almost 120 and i have replaced the water pump, overhauled the radiator, even pull out the thermostat... and still the temp goes up....
