I am a rebuilder of Fuel Distributors and Warm Up Regulators, and also owned a repair shop for European cars.

I am here to help you with CIS related problems.

Thank you
Larry

Hi guys, in regard to a 1965 230SL I'm having something of an idle issue.  There is a solenoid on top of the intake manifold that I believe is supposed to only operate when the car is in gear or the AC is on.  It doesn't appear to work that way.  Can someone explain what it actually does?  In case I wasn't clear, the solenoid kicks a lever that has a push rod going to the throttle control shaft which goes across the engine from the throttle body to the injector pump.

I have been out of the general MB repair long enough to have forgotten a lot of those specs, and have lost my old books on that system. So instead of relying on my memory I will PM you the name and number of an expert on your system
