380 SL Engine swap
« on: October 04, 2009, 07:31:20 PM »
I have a 1982 380 SL, the engine is starting to burn some oil at 275K miles, I was looking to replace it with a goo used one and I have found one locally that is a 116 963 12 from a sedan. Will the sedan engines fit the SL's, do I need swap the oil pan??? Also the 116 963 looks to have the older speed idle system so can I again just move the one from my SL over to it???
