Newbie here, glad I found it though. I'm a former "Benz Wrench" but it's been over 20 years since I had contact with that world and now that I bought this 1986 300E info seems to be the order of the day. All my old contacts are no longer in easy reach so here I am, on to the question: The car doesn't appear tampered with yet the frequency valve for the lambda system isn't working. The duty cycle swings from rich to lean but will not cycle like it should. I don't hear the "buzz" that was characteristic of the valve under operating conditions. Now the most recent data I have is the factory manual for 1980 when this system was introduced. But no doubt changes have been made and I need to info regarding operating voltages, wiring schematics etc. My last trip to the MB dealer was less than fruitful as the folks don't seem to know much about this car and my browsing of the MB website didn't bring much up as they seem to have a 20 year breakpoint last time I checked. Any takers for this??
