2001 E320 Sport.  My engine icon on the right of my speedo cluster came on.  The owner's manual says it relates to the engine control module feeds.  My cruise, tach, temp gauge etc all work.  I did the "malfunction" menu and nothing appears to be wrong.  The car runs and performs as well as it always has.  Any ideas before I go to MB and spend $500.00?

I would take it to Autozone or some other place to read your codes.
