My car 1991 420Sel has tapping noise

Hi, my ex-wife  :D paid for an oil change on the 16Th of June 2010 for me, she ordered 10-30 oil and my car began to tap when I started it  :'(...Tap, tap, tap. I recently July 7, 2010 had my oil changed and put synthetic oil in it, the car continues to tap, an auto worker told me that it was my lifters and I needed to get them repaired.  :(  I drive a 1991 420Sel Mercedes-Benz and I have already placed a great deal of money into this auto and do not wish to let it go. can anyone aid me in finding lifters?
