A problem with using the cigarette lighter for accessories
« on: March 12, 2009, 07:46:17 AM »
The cigarette lighters in both my 107 and my wife's 210 seem to be infinitesimally larger than the 'standard' power plugs that come with today's phone chargers, nav units and satellite radios.  It is very difficult to maintain continuous power to the devices.   Is there an adapter for this problem?

I saw on another forum a mention of a 'sleeve' that seems to no longer be available.  A splitter would be even more useful as I only have the one socket to work from and would like to power two devices.

Right now, I'm using the probably unsafe method of wedging a small piece of paper in the socket beside the plug.

Got any ideas or cool products?

Gosh, I dunno. I've heard rumors of an Escort adapter for Euro lighter sockets...
